WHAT IS ART?

Once, Felix Gonzalez Torres, speaking of one of his works said that if a beautiful memory could have a color that would be the color blue ... In this work I ask what color is the art and what is art? Thus appeared colors, shades and words of artists I admire and I was forming. This work took most of the time of preparing the exhibition. His form was growing intuitively and in complete freedom. There are phrases of contemporary artists, modern and all periods built this way which I humbly attempt to move. I can not name them all because it would be tedious to read but some of them are: Joseph Beuys, Felix Gonzalez Torres, Joseph Kosuth, Marina Abramovic, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Luis Felipe Noe, José Clemente Orozco, and Juan Doffo

I take a few records of what was pouring directly on canvas. They are not all texts because they were infinite and ended up overlapping, building reliefs and forms:

Social art means cultivating relationships among men is almost an act of life.

Painting for me has been a landfill, a compelling need to express myself.

Painting and art in general, specifically the visual art, are a language in themselves, a visual language rather than a spoken language.

Art can show what words cannot say or mention.

Artworks are like words: while each word individually has its integrity we can put words together to create very different paragraphs.

I think part of the responsibility of society is to create the conditions in which a free flow of ideas can flourish, art is part of that.

My art always resisted the idea of being passive consumers of culture. Spectators complete the work. They are the other half in the construction of meaning.

I'm interested in art that disturbs, pushing risk areas

The artist has to make productive his wounds and his secrets.

The paint should be the simple expression of a complex idea

BLUE BEETLE

Blue Beetle, is inspired by the wonderful novel by Manuel Mujica Lainez,The Beetle. I take a beautiful piece for composition. It speaks about love: love that feels the Greek statue for the beetle. He only hear and admire him in the sea when he was thrown and told his wonderful story, they shared brief moments that became for him an oceanic feeling, eternal and deep ...

I understand that the relationship that brought us into the sea, so fascinating, so strange, the friendship of a beetle that came from Egypt and a God-man who came from Greece, is the main thing that could happen, to be very long and complex your life, and mine very simple. Without you, I would not be more than a noble object, perhaps, of its kind, absolute, for you, I knew the substance and depth of love. Is there anything that exceeds ridiculed the idea that a huge bronze is in love with a small lapislazuli? Is there just nonsense? But is there a ridiculous love? All true love is possible. OLD CODE

BE CAREFUL WITH THE WAY YOU CHOOSE

This work is inspired by the Bushido Code (Bushi: Warrior-Do: way)

At the beginning of 800 AD in Japan appears bushido code and will last until the end of the nineteenth century. These are the seven principles governing the code and provide moral guidance practicing most samurai warriors:

Gi. Honesty and justice. righteousness
Believe in justice emanating from yourself.
Decision fair, just and true attitude

Yu. Heroic courage
Rise above the masses of people are afraid to act. Replacing fear with respect and caution
Rule of the bravery and heroism.

Jin. Compassion. benevolence
Through rigorous training develops a power that should only be used for the good of all.
Rule of universal love, of benevolence toward the human

Rei. Courtesy and respect
Samurai have no reason to be cruel. No need to demonstrate their power

Meiyo. Honor
The decisions you make and how to conduct are a reflection of who they really are.

Makoto. Absolute sincerity

CASCADE CHAPEL

The waterfall called The Dragon Gate is so named because its feet are placed vertically elongated rock shaped carp. The position of the fish suggests that intends to climb the waterfall. The composition tells an ancient Chinese myth whereby carp that manages to climb and reach the top of the waterfall becomes a dragon. Then the dragon became a symbol of enlightenment for Zen Buddhism, becoming dragon meant to transcend all limitations and become one with the most powerful and deep force in the universe.

Only a small waterfall,
but its sound

CHERRY AS SNOW

The ancient Japanese literature compares the fall of the flowers with snow. Both images appear not only visually, but also share the metaphorical meaning of transience. The cherry blossom is only a week, and falling snow melts in spring almost immediately after touching the ground
